Spatial Distribution and Pollution Evaluation of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in Sediments in Chaohu Lake
In 2018,0 cm~10 cm and 10 cm~20 cm column sediment samples were collected from 111 sampling sites in Chaohu lake, total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP)and other related indexes were determined to analyze their pollution levels and spatial distribution characteristics, and the pollution degree of Chaohu lake was evaluated by nitrogen and phosphorus pollution indexes. The results showed that the mass ra-tios of TN and TP in sediments in Chaohu lake ranged from 117 mg/kg to 2 470 mg/kg and 142 mg/kg to 2 022 mg/kg,respectively.High value areas of nitrogen and phosphorus were in the northern part of western and eastern regions of the lake, and eastern bay area. The lowest concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus was in the southern part of central region of the lake. The pollution index of TN and TP,and the comprehensive pollu-tion index were 0.21~4.37,0.31~4.35,and 0.44~3.83 respectively, indicating that the pollution degree of the sediments in Chaohu lake was clean-heavy pollution. The western region of the lake had the highest pollution level, followed by the eastern region, and the center of the lake had the lowest.
