Review on Durability Study of Floating Solar Photovoltaic Key Components
To address the pressures of energy demand and environmental protection, floating surface photovoltaics have been proposed as a solution. The offshore areas provide ample space for deployment, making offshore floating photovoltaics a hot research topic.Assessing the weatherability of key components of photovoltaics is crucial to ensuring the reliability and durability of offshore floating photovoltaic systems. In recent years, several experimental offshore photovoltaic projects have emerged, demonstrating the potential of floating photovoltaic systems in water bodies. However, factors such as humidity, sea winds, and salt spray in the offshore environment adversely affect the performance and lifespan of photovoltaic key components, making it particularly important to assess their weatherability.Currently, research on offshore photovoltaics is still limited, but countries have begun to promote the research and application of this technology. These research findings contribute to the sustainable development of offshore floating photovoltaics, promoting the application of clean energy and environmental protection.
