Analysis of the Influence of Stress Screening Test on a Certain Radar Module Shell
A certain rate of liquid leakage after stress screening can attribute to the welding defects of the liquid cooled shell of the radar module. Some unreasonable factors during the stress screening may further amplified the welding defects. In this study, during the stress screening, the effects of the temperature cycling and random vibration on the module shell were analyzed. The results show that the pressure change in the closed chamber during the temperature cycling after liquid discharging has little effect on the weld seam.Furthermore, the random vibration process excitation amplifies the response at different parts of the fixture and forms an excitation transmission chain, which has a non-design necessary impact on the weld seam.Based on the results of the study,It is suggested that the module should be fully drained before the temperature cycling, and the vibration response of the vibration fixture should be measured to avoid overscreening.
