Storage Life Prediction of EPDM Based on Improved Aging Model
Storage accelerated aging test of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber(EPDM)was conducted in four different temperatures by using constant stress test method to predict storage life of EPDM.After accelerated aging test at temperatures of 80℃,90℃,100℃and 110℃,performance degradation are found on the EPDM.The higher the stress of high-temperature storage accelerated aging test is,the faster the performance of EPDM degrades.By fitting aging model of EPDM with improved Arrhenius model,storage life of EPDM at room temperature(20℃)is evaluated up to 18 years.
