Research on Reliability Testing of Encoding and Modulation for Shipborne Ultra Short Wave Radios
In complex marine environments, shipborne ultra short wave radio stations face various challenges, therefore higher requirements are put forward for the reliability of coding and modulation. To this end, research on the reliability testing of encoding and modulation for shipborne ultra short wave radio stations is being carried out.The ship is equipped with a carrier based ultra short wave radio station for reliability testing in three selected experimental areas,to test the bit error rate,signal-to-noise ratio, and spectral efficiency in electromagnetic interference and multipath effects environments. The results show that compared to Sea 1 and Sea 3,Sea 2 has a relatively higher error rate.Compared to Sea Area 1 and Sea Area 2,Sea Area 3 has a relatively low signal-to-noise ratio in a multipath effect environment. In the electromagnetic interference environment, the spectral efficiency of Sea Area 1 and Sea Area 2 is relatively low, while in other environmental waters, the spectral efficiency is relatively high.
