Effect of Corrosion Environment on Fatigue Properties of 2024-T62 Aluminum Alloy
To quantitatively evaluate the influence of corrosion damage on the high-cycle fatigue properties of 2024-T62 aluminum alloy, corrosion fatigue tests were carried out under different pre-corrosion times.Fatigue DFR values corresponding to the given characteristic fatigue life N=105 were calculated, and the pre-corrosion influence coefficient curves of the characteristic life were drawn. The DFR strength of the funnel-shaped aluminum alloy sample after 192 h pre-corrosion was 197 MPa,the pre-corrosion influence coefficient was 0.75,and the S-N curves of the aluminum alloy material under different pre-corrosion times were obtained. The results showed that the fatigue properties of 2024-T62 aluminum alloy decrease significantly with the increase of pre-corrosion time, and the initial stage of pre-corrosion had a more obvious effect on the fatigue properties of the material, and the brine environment may promote the initiation and propagation of cracks in the alloy sheet.
