Research on Inconsistency between Laboratory Reliability Test and Field Usage Results
This paper discusses the inconsistency between laboratory reliability test and field usage results, and points out that in many cases, the MTBF value obtained from laboratory reliability test is about half of that in the field usage statistics. There are many reasons for the inconsistency, such as the use of high-risk rate schemes in most laboratory tests, and the lack of software operation during the use of hardware in most of the reliability tests today.Hence, this paper proposes some methods and measures to shorten the gap.
