Design and Analysis of Heat Dissipation for Air-Cooled Phased Array Antenna
T/R module is the main heat source of phased array antenna, and temperature control of antenna array is one of the key technologies in thermal design of phased array antenna. This article introduces a wind induced phased array antenna, which uses four antenna arrays distributed in a circular pattern, with a processing unit arranged in the middle and a fan arranged at the bottom. The overall layout transfers the heat from the T/R module to the bottom heat dissipation fins through an L-shaped heat sink,Form a cross shaped air duct with the bottom heat dissipation teeth of the processor, and finally dissipate heat through the bottom fan to isolate the equipment compartment from the air duct.Use FloEFD thermal simulation software for thermal simulation analysis and optimize the air duct reasonably. The rationality of antenna thermal design has been verified through physical experiments, providing valuable guidance for the design of other similar phased array antennas.
