Study on the Application of Dynamic Voltage Restorer in Power Quality Monitoring
A strategy for improving voltage quality in distribution networks based on a dynamic voltage restorer(DVR)was proposed, addressing the severity of voltage quality issues in modern smart grids.Simulations were conducted in MATLAB/Simulink,incorporating third and fifth harmonics into the supply voltage. The results indicated that without the DVR,the total harmonic distortion(THD)of the load voltage reached 18% and 23%,respectively.After applying the proposed DVR control strategy, the THD was reduced to below 4%,effectively suppressing voltage distortion and achieving smooth compensation. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the DVR control strategy in enhancing voltage quality, providing technical support for smart grid development.
