The Effects of the Exposure Direction and Installation Mode of Plastic Specimensin Laboratory Weathering Tests on Its Izod Notched Impact Strength
The izod notched impact strength is a main property to inspect the weatherability of plastics. This paper analysed izod notched impact strength values of three different types of plastics after Xenon-arc exposure or Fluorescent UV exposure, and reveals that the exposure direction and the installation mode of specimens in the exposure tests have direct effects on the test values,so the exposure direction and the installation mode of specimens should be stated clearly whether in designing exposure test programme or in applying the test results.
