Optimization of Location Selection for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Distribution Networks Considering Power Quality
The large-scale deployment of electric vehicles(EVs)has a negative impact on the operation of distribution systems.Improper installation of EV charging stations(EVCS)reduces the power quality and affect the safe and stable operation of the power grid.Based on the analysis of power quality in distribution networks, this paper proposes a reliability index(RI)strategy for optimizing EVCS location selection.Aiming at the EVCS location problem of IEEE-33 standard system, several typical test cases were set to highlight power quality, and harmonic analysis was conducted on the impact of slow/fast chargers-EVCS on system operating conditions. All test results indicate that the RI strategy has a certain role in the application of setting slow/fast chargers-EVCS in distribution systems. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed EVCS optimization of location selection method was verified based on a real-time distribution system.
