Analysis of the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of dust sources in Shenyang during urban expansion
Taking Shenyang as an example, based on domestic high-resolution remote sensing images, the landscape ecological pattern index and 3S technology were used to analyze the structural composition, spatial distribution characteristics, change trends, and reasons of newly added dust source patches during urban expansion. The results show that from 2016 to 2020,Shenyang added 1349 new dust source patches, totaling 50.9 km2,mainly distributed within the third to fifth ring roads of Shenyang, with the north fourth ring road, south fourth ring road, and southwest fifth ring road being the most concentrated.Among various municipal districts,Hunnan District,Shenbei New District, and Tiexi District are the most concentrated.Hunnan District and Huanggu District have the largest proportion of newly added residential construction land, while Dadong District has the largest proportion of other construction land. From 2016 to 2020,the number of dust source patches in Shenyang continued to increase, but the rate of increase in the number of dust source patches showed a downward trend after 2018.Social and economic development and urban expansion are the main factors affecting the incremental changes of dust source patches in Shenyang.
