The ecological features of plant functional group and its indication on water quality in Shilianghe Reservoir
In this study, the phytoplankton community structure of Shilianghe Reservoir was investigated quarterly in 2022,followed by the analysis of phytoplankton functional groups(FGs)variation pattern and their relation with environmental factors. It aimed to reveal the phytoplankton FGs characteristics and the environmental status they reflected in Shilianghe Reservoir. The results showed that a total of 91 phytoplankton species were identified, belonging to 7 phyla, with dominance by Chlorophyta,Diatoma and Cyanophyta. There were 23 phytoplankton functional groups were observed during this investigation,J and E appeared most frequently, and W1,Y and B were the dominant FGs.Based on RDA and Pearson correlation analysis,it was found that WT,TN and TP were the main factors influencing phytoplankton function groups in Shilianghe Reservoir.Ecological index(Q)based on phytoplankton FGs also indicated that the ecological status of Shilianghe Reservoir was of middle level. In addition,2/3 of the dominant functional groups are suitable habitats for moderately to severely eutrophic water bodies, indicating that the Shilianghe Reservoir is still in a moderately to severely eutrophic state.
