Study on purification of total nitrogen and total phosphorus by submerged plants in Nanjing Mochou Lake
On the basis of controlling endogenous and exogenous pollution in Nanjing Mochou Lake, submerged phytoremediation is implemented for the lake. The entire lake is divided into 8 zones for planting submerged plants, repairing different composition of submerged plant communities, monitoring and investigating the total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the lake water before and after planting in each zone, and analyzing the purification effect of submerged plants on nitrogen and phosphorus in Mochou Lake. The results showed that submerged plants can effectively reduce the total nitrogen concentration in the water body of Mochou Lake, with an average removal rate of 79.9%.Different submerged plant communities have differences in the total nitrogen removal rate, among which the bitter grass black algae fox tail algae community is better than the bitter grass micro toothed seed vegetable community, better than the bitter grass black algae community, and better than the bitter grass malayan seed vegetable community and the bitter grass fox tail algae community. The average removal rate of total phosphorus in the water body of Mochou Lake by submerged plants is 48%;Among them, the removal rate of the bitter grass microserrata community is the highest, superior to the bitter grass black alga fox tail alga community, and superior to the bitter grass malayan porphyra community, superior to the bitter grass fox tail alga community and bitter grass black alga community; The mixed communities of submerged vegetation such as bitter grass, black alga, malayan potato, microdentate potato, and fox tail alga have better removal effects on total nitrogen than total phosphorus, providing a reference for selecting and constructing submerged plant communities to effectively degrade total nitrogen and total phosphorus.
