The spatiotemporal distribution characteristics and influencing factors of the maximum value of chlorophyll a in the subsurface layer of Longyangxia Reservoir
The distribution characteristics of the Subsurface Chlorophyll Maximum(SCM)layer in the reservoir not only reflect the vertical distribution characteristics of phytoplankton and primary productivity in the reservoir, but also reflect the environmental factors such as water nutrients.By measuring the chlorophyll a(Chl-a)index in different water layers, this study explores the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the SCM layer in the Longyangxia Reservoir and analyzes its correlation with major environmental factors such as nutrients. The research results show that:1)The SCM layer of Longyangxia Reservoir has a clear stratification phenomenon, and the vertical distribution characteristics of Chl-a concentration show that the surface layer content is higher than the bottom layer, and the vertical distribution range of SCM layer gradually widens with seasonal changes.2)The distribution of SCM layer in Longyangxia Reservoir is influenced by various environmental factors, among which temperature and nutrient concentration are the main influencing factors on the vertical distribution of Chl-a.Studying the vertical distribution characteristics of the SCM layer is of great significance for understanding the distribution pattern of primary productivity in the Longyangxia Reservoir.
