Butterfly species diversity in Beijing Songshan National Nature Reserve
The protected areas were adjusted in Beijing Songshan National Nature Reserve in 2015,in order to complement the butterfly species checklist and understand the changes of butterfly diversity,a baseline survey was conducted by using the line transects and net trapping from April to August of 2019.A total of 82 butterfly species in 61 genera and 5 families were identified, among which 8 species were new records to the reserve.Combining with previous data, this study collated the records of 132 butterfly species in the reserve. The data indicated that the composition of butterfly community changed obviously in different periods, which may have clues with climate changes. Moreover, fauna analysis showed that the butterfly community was dominated by 67 widespread species that accounted for 50.8%and 63 Palaearctic species of 47.7%,indicating that the butterfly community has a mix characteristic of widespread and Palaearctic species. This study provided a baseline information of butterfly diversity after the changes of the protected areas and will set a reference for future biodiversity monitoring in this nature reserve.
