Characteristics of solid waste and treatment situation in petrochemical industry in Guangdong Province
The petrochemical industry,due to the characteristics of large amount of solid waste generation,complex components,and difficulty in disposal and utilization,was attracted by the public.This study makes statistics on the production,types and treatment methods of solid waste in Guangdong petrochemical industry.The results showed that the general industrial solid waste generated by the petrochemical industry in Guangdong Province is mainly fly ash,slag,desulfurization gypsum,and sludge,while the hazardous waste generated is mainly waste alkali,waste mineral oil,and organic resin waste.In terms of treatment methods,most industrial solid waste is disposed through self or outsourced comprehensive utilization,while hazardous waste is mainly disposed through incineration and comprehensive utilization.Further analysis was conducted on the problems of generation and treatment of solid waste in Guangdong Province,and specific suggestions were proposed from the perspectives of technology,project and policy to strengthen the environmental management of solid waste in the petrochemical industry in Guangdong Province.
