Change characteristics of vegetation net primary production at Guangdong Province based on ecological function division
Conducting research on Net Primary Production(NPP)dynamics of vegetation in Guangdong Province is helpful for evaluating the vegetation carbon sink and effectiveness of ecological restoration.Based on the ecological function division of Guangdong Province, linear trend estimation was used to evaluate the change trend of vegetation NPP in Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2022.The main conclusions are as follows:1)With the annual average NPP of more than 1 000 gC/(m2·a),Nanling Mountain eco-region(E1)and Central Guangdong eco-region(E2)become the main body of the ecological barrier of the Nanling Mountain and the ecological barrier of hills and shallow mountains around the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area;2)The Pearl River Delta eco-region(E4)has the lowest of annual vegetation NPP[491.51 gC/(m2·a)]among all ecological zones, and thus relies on the surrounding E1 and E2 eco-regions to provide ecological service supply;3)The vegetation NPP show an overall growing trend in the whole province and show the most significant growing trend at Western Guangdong eco-region;4)The restoration of forest land has made a significant contribution to the growth of vegetation NPP in the province.A series of ecological restoration projects carried out in Guangdong Province will play a positive role in compensating for ecological debts in the Pearl River Delta, building a strong ecological barrier in Northern Guangdong, and achieving the dual carbon goal.
