Study on the characteristics and potential source areas of three types of ozone heavy pollution events in Hengshui
In recent years,ozone pollution,as one of the important environmental pollutants,has posed a serious threat to human health and ecological environment safety,and has attracted much attention.This study uses the monitoring data of atmospheric pollutants from the Ecological Environment Bureau of Hengshui City from 2019 to 2021 and the meteorological observation data from the Hengshui Meteorological Station to conduct a comparative study on the characteristics,meteorological conditions,transport routes,and potential source areas of three types of local ozone heavy pollution events.In terms of pollution characteristics,the duration and pollution intensity of"Type 1"and"Type 2"are stronger than"Type 3".By investigating its causes,it can be concluded that the difference in atmospheric circulation background during the occurrence of three types of ozone pollution is the key reason for the significant differences in meteorological conditions and evolution mechanisms corresponding to these three types of ozone pollution events.In order to provide a basis for local ecological and environmental departments to formulate scientific response policies on the ecological effects of ozone pollution,this study focuses on exploring the characteristics of potential source areas for three types of ozone pollution events.Research has found that all three types of ozone pollution events are controlled by low pressure on the ground,with the lower troposphere located in the front of a warm air mass or warm ridge,and the middle troposphere at 500 hPa being controlled by northwest or westerly airflow.The potential source areas of the three types of events are mainly distributed in the eastern part of Henan,northern Anhui,Jiangsu,western and southern Shandong,southeastern Hebei,and Bohai Bay,and are transported to Hengshui through southerly and easterly routes."Type 1"has the largest potential pollution source area and the heaviest pollution,"Type 2"takes second place,and"Type 3"is the lightest.The research results of this study can provide scientific reference for the ecological and environmental department of Hengshui to early warning,prediction,and scientific evaluation of ecological effects caused by ozone pollution.
