Characterization and source analysis of DOM fluorescence in the water of Shuiqiao River in Longjiashan National Forest Park,Guizhou Province,China
To investigate the sources of dissolved organic matters in the watershed of Longjiashan National Forest Park from human activities, this study applied ultraviolet and fluorescence spectroscopic techniques to investigate the molecular composition and sources of dissolved organic matter(DOM)in the water of Shuiqiao River.Meanwhile, the relative contribution of DOM was also quantitatively assessed by combining principal component analysis(PCA)and multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results showed that the overall water quality of the main stream in the Shuiqiao River was good. The DOM in the river was mainly composed of humus-like,fulvic acid-like and protein-like substances. The fluorescence component is mainly controlled by internal sources(FI>1.9,HIX<4.0),with a stronger external role in the upper tributary waters. However, the water quality of the Changba River is relatively more affected by human activities. The autochthonous source and humification of DOM in the river showed a gradual increasing trend from upstream to downstream. The total fluorescence intensity and humification degree of DOM were higher in the water with poorer water quality. The PCA results showed that internal inputs to the watershed contributed 58%to DOM,and the human activities contributed 25%to DOM.The fulvic acid-like and protein-like compounds in the study area mainly originated from the input of sewage around the Changba River.
