Research on carbon emission intensity and baseline of electrolytic aluminum industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region under the background of carbon trading
Electrolytic aluminum industry is an important basic industry for national economic construction and social development,and also a high energy consumption and high emission industry,which is a key industry for carbon emission in China's industrial sector.The national carbon market has been operating steadily for two performance periods and will soon be expanded to include industries such as electrolytic aluminum.Through measuring the emission intensity of electrolytic aluminum industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and setting different baseline scenarios for allowance profit and loss analysis,a scheme to adopt the average regional emission intensity as the baseline is proposed.At the same time,suggestions on the setting of the baseline and allowance allocation of electrolytic aluminum industry in the national carbon market are proposed,which provides a reference for the smooth integration of electrolytic aluminum into the national carbon market.
