Estimation of non-point source pollution load and analysis of pollution characteristics in the Daluxi Basin
This study employs an enhanced output coefficient method that takes into account five factors to estimate the total non-point source pollution entering the river across four quarters and each township in the Daluxi Basin, based on monthly rainfall data from 2022.This provides a scientific basis for local governments to implement ecological and environmental protection measures in the basin. The results revealed the highest loads in Quarter 1(March-May)and the lowest in Quarter 3(September-November).The annual loads were 188.53 tons for TN,13.83 tons for TP,and 1 220.95 tons for COD.These loads were primarily distributed in Baihe,Zhutuo, and Xianlong towns, with TN and TP loads mainly originating from surface runoff and COD from livestock breeding. The estimates were within a 15%error margin compared to monitoring data.
