A quantitative evaluation of the theoretical and practical effectiveness of"Two mountains"in Longyan City,Fujian Province:From the perspective of GEP
Ecological progress has popularized the"green mountains are gold mountains"concept. This study quantifies the green gold index and primary conversion rate of ecological products in Longyan,Fujian, assessing"two mountains"theory effectiveness.GEP in Longyan increased then decreased from 2010 to 2020.Despite declining, the green gold index remained above 1,indicating positive ecological service value in economic activities. The significant improvement in the primary conversion rate reflects progress in ecological resource development and utilization efficiency. However, the declining green gold index and fluctuating ecosystem regulation service value suggest a need to strengthen the balance between green ecology and economic development. This study provides insights for local ecological civilization construction and sustainable development, contributing to China's environmental protection and sustainable strategies.
