Virtual Instrumental Approach Guidance Technology for Special Mission Aircraft
Aiming at the problem of special mission aircraft landing at airstrip,a virtual instrumental approach guiance technology is proposed.According to runway information and glide angle set up by the aircrew, the virtual approach path is built, and the virtual azimuth deviation and glide deviation related to the virtual approach path is calculated and sent to the autopilot,so that the aircraft is guided to decision height.A virtual approach guidance system is designed, and simulation verification is performed. The simulation results show that guidance precision of the virtual instrumental approach guidance technology has reached a similar accuracy level with a typical APV(Approach with Vertical Guid-ance),and it can enhance the landing safety of special mission aircraft and reduce the workload of the aircrew.
