Aeroengine health management system is one of the core systems for advanced engines to improve their safety, reliability, and affordability. The design for its architecture is the key technology of aeroengine health management systems. An efficient and reason-able system architecture can give full play to the functions of the system.According to the design requirements of the aeroengine health management system architecture, aiming at improving the efficiency and rationality of the system architecture and achieving the optimal distribution of system functions, the optimization method of the aeroengine health management system functional architecture was studied. In this paper, functional architectures of foreign aeroengine and aircraft health management systems were compared and analyzed, and their common characteristics were summarized.Combined with user requirements analyses of the health management system,a general functional architecture of engine health management systems was formed;Based on this architecture,a function allocation method for components and faults was proposed by using logical decision diagrams and analytic hierarchy process(AHP),The results show that the proposed allocation method can realize the qualitative and quantitative allocation of state monitoring, fault diagnosis, fault prediction, life management and trend analysis functions to airborne and ground systems. In the design of military and civil aeroengine health management systems, the general health management system architecture can be applied to realize the comprehensive coverage of the core functions and user requirements of the engine health management system, and the function allocation method can be used to realize the optimal configura-tion of airborne and ground system functions according to the engine structure and characteristics.
