Objective To explore the effect of ziprasidone combined with aripiprazole on blood lipids and cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD).Methods 92 elderly AD patients treated in Nanyang Fourth People's Hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were randomly divided into two groups according to the random number table method.Among them, the control group(n=46)was treated with ziprasipam;the observation group(n=46)was treated with ziprasidone combined with aripiprazole for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, blood lipid levels, and cognitive functions of the two groups were compared, and the occurrence of adverse reactions was counted. Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the same group before treatment, there was no difference in the blood lipid levels between the two groups after treatment;and there was no significant difference in the blood lipid levels between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).The Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale score of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);there was no difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Ziprasidone combined with aripiprazole in the treatment of elderly AD patients can improve the therapeutic effect, improve the cognitive function of patients, has a low impact on patients'blood lipid metabolism, and is highly safe.
