Suppressing strong ground clutter in target detection of radar on fast-moving vehicle platforms is a chal-lenging issue. In this paper, the space-time processing principle of airborne radar is used for reference to solve the issue.First, the distribution characteristics of ground clutter during vehicle movement are analyzed.Secondly, the feasibility of ground clutter cancellation using sum beam and difference beams is discussed. The measured data shows that the proposed method can effectively suppress ground clutter in main and side lobes and improve the de-tection capability of radar against slow-moving aerial targets during vehicle movement.
