This paper proposes an RCS enhancer for a simulated missile warhead based on the operating principle of polyhedral corner reflectors. The simulated warhead has specific shape and size in order to meet the dynamic and thermodynamic requirements during its flight.A circular trihedral reflector is designed for the limited warhead space conditions.Multiple circular reflectors are properly arranged in the warhead to form an RCS enhancement device.Through simulation calculation using the commercial software HFSS and actual test in a microwave ane-choic chamber,it is verified that the proposed RCS enhancer can increase the RCS of the simulated warhead by more than 4dB at multiple frequencies when the incident angle is within 15°.It enhances the RCS of the simula-ted warhead at multiple frequencies in C band and X band. The proposed RCS enhancer can be used in technical performance simulation tests of air defense equipment to solve the problem that the simulated warheads are diffi-cult to be tracked and detected because of their small RCS values. The proposed RCS enhancer has certain practi-cal application value.
