In response to the problem of classifying targets detected by ground reconnaissance radar,a new method based on track-and-search(TAS)is proposed. The method first analyzes the elevation and other parameters based on the target plots to perform a preliminary classification. Then, simultaneous multi-target TAS is carried out through real-time beam scheduling to obtain target tracks.Various features are extracted and fused at the track level to further determine the attributes of the target. The results of real tests and engineering applications show that the proposed method has a small computational load and a high classification success rate, making it highly practical.
