This paper presents the design of a miniaturized ultra-wideband conformal antenna suitable for the 5~6GHz frequency band. The antenna adopts a conical conformal layout to adapt to the irregular missile head and meet matching performance requirements. The antenna is installed inside a hollow conical structure on the top of the carrier. Its ultra-wideband characteristics are achieved through a microstrip gradient balun and a tapered transition section occupying 1/4 circle of the bottom of the spiral antenna.Test results show that the antenna has a standing wave ratio of less than2.5 in the5~6GHz frequency band, and the axial ratio is below3dB at±5°and±35°axi-al offsets from the maximum radiation direction, meeting the requirements for circular polarization. The antenna has a gain of more than 1dB in the beam angle range of-5° to 5° and-35° to 35°,with the rearward gain below 0dB,ensuring good amplitude consistency and anti-jamming capability. Therefore, the proposed antenna is suitable for missile-borne applications.
