With the continuous development of nuclear energy and nuclear technology applications.New requirements are put forward for unmanned aerial survey equipment. The LaBr3(Ce)detector has attracted special attention for its excellent energy resolution(<3%@661.2 keV)and high detection efficiency. In this paper, the performance test of the LaBr3(Ce)detector and the UAV-borne flight experiment are carried out.The detection ability of the 2"×φ2"inch LaBr3(Ce)detector for the point source under different conditions was studied. The test contents mainly include the low background test, detection efficiency test, and angular response test of the LaBr3(Ce)detector.Flight experiments include flight tests at different altitudes, different speeds, and different yaw distances under different radiation backgrounds.Under the radiation background field of K=557.01 Bq/kg,U=17.64 Bq/kg and Th=29.41 Bq/kg,the minimum detectable activity of a 2"×φ2"-inch LaBr3(Ce)detector against a point source was determined
