Application of Numerical Simulation in the Commissioning of the Auxiliary Feedwater System
As one of the most important engineered safety systems for PWR,the auxiliary feedwater system plays a vital role in removing residual heat of the reactor during design base conditions.Whether the flowrate of the feedwater of the auxiliary feedwater system meets the safety function requirements,it is mainly completed by the verification of the on-site commissioning tests of the system. The most common problems in the commissioning of the auxiliary feedwater system include the insufficient flowrate in a single branch and excessive flowrate deviation between each branch. The theme, established and simulated the thermal-hydraulic simulation model in FLOWMASTER,aiming to solve the commissioning testing problems of the auxiliary feedwater system of a certain nuclear power plant in construction.Based on numerical simulation, the theme solved the preoperational testing problems, including the insufficiency of the flowrate and the mismatch of flowrates among each branch.Performed the sensitivity analysis of the orifice aperture in the individual branch and obtained the function between the mismatch of each branch and the diameter of a single orifice.Through numerical simulation, the engineering problems in commissioning are solved, and the system configuration design is optimized to ensure that the system meets the requirements of the system, and at the same time provide technical guidance for the commissioning and operation of the auxiliary feedwater system of the same type of PWR.
