Discussion on Giving Quality Optional Course on Folklore in Colleges and Universities
In terms of carrying out quality education,universities should not only expand students'knowl-edge and vision,but also cultivate their high moral sentiment and healthy development.Good education on tradi-tions and culturesplays an important role in the process of quality education for students.Courses on folklore meet the requirements of quality education and help nurture high-quality and versatile talents.Hence,thesec-ourses should focus on textbook selection in light of course orientation and its targets,on taking theory textbooks as a priority along with reference books on ethnology.It is necessary that curricula should be arranged in a scien-tific way,actively coinciding with the spirit of the times,and focusing on introducing the ancient Chinese folk culture.Besides,multiple methods of teaching should be adopted to cultivate students'ability of applying differ-ent skills and to improve their theoretical literacy and social practice ability.
