Semi-analytical finite element modeling for composite insulator core rod defect diagnosis
Due to the layered structure of composite insulator core rod/umbrella skirt,it is impossible to directly distinguish the longitudinal mode and torsional mode in the application of ultrasonic diagnosis, which is not conducive to the design and application of ultrasonic diagnostic technology for the modal design of defect diagnosis of composite insulators. Therefore, the semi-analytical finite element(SAFE)modeling method is used to combine the mechanical characteristics of composite insulator under the longitudinal mode and torsional mode, the SAFE model that can be used to independently calculate the longitudinal mode and torsional mode is established. The model can be used to simplify the tedious process of complex mode differentiation in composite insulator diagnosis technology, reduce the calculation workload of SAFE model, and can be used for rapid scanning application of composite insulator internal defect diagnosis.
