Research progress in live egg collection and in vitro embryo production technology in sheep and goats
In recent years,the rapid development of the intensive sheep breeding industry has moved forward the demand for sheep and goats with economically excellent traits.Efficient breeding technologies would lay an important technical foundation for the multiplication of sheep herds,among which,the efficient superovulation-embryo transfer technology has been applied in sheep breeding,and sheep live egg collection,in vitro embryo production technology,juvenile animal live egg collection,in vitro fertilization embryo transfer technology and other technologies have also been achieved with important progress.Live egg collection is the technology of continuous recovery of oocytes from live livestock,which is an important prerequisite for the in vitro sheep embryos production.In this paper,the development process,application status and prospect of in vitro sheep embryo production are reviewed to provide a reference for the further improvement of sheep live egg collection,in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer technology.
