Analysis and Suggestions for the Development of China's Carbon Market
The carbon market is the main form of China's carbon pricing mechanism.In order to effectively respond to international green trade barriers,a comprehensive and systematic review was conducted on the development status of China's carbon market(including compliance carbon market and voluntary carbon market)from 2002 to the present,it was found that the development process of China's carbon market mainly includes three stages:participating in CDM,building local carbon markets,and forming a joint development pattern of national and local carbon markets.China's carbon market is characterized by a steady increase in carbon prices,continuous increase in trading volume and transaction volume,high compliance rate,wide coverage,and quota allocation using benchmark,historical intensity,and historical emission methods.Based on the above conclusions,China's carbon market development suggestions have been proposed.
