The Impact of Digital Economy on the Expansion and Opening-up of Productive Services—Based on Empirical Data from China's Interprovincial Panel
Expanding and opening up of the productive service industry is an important initiative to build a new development pattern to promote the high-quality development of China's economy.Based on China's inter-provincial data from 2011 to 2020,we empirically examine the impact of the digital economy on expanding and opening up of the productive service industry and the mechanism of the role of the digital economy.The study finds that:first,the digital economy has a significant role in promoting the expansion and opening up of the productive service industry,and this conclusion still holds after the robustness test;second,the digital economy promotes the expansion and opening up of the productive service industry through the dual channels of digital technological advancement and digital platform construction;and third,there is a positive moderating effect on the digital economy's promotion of the expansion and opening up of the productive service industry with the improvement of the level of logistics development.The study helps to clarify the logical relationship and mechanism between the digital economy and the expansion and opening-up of productive service industries,and provides theoretical and empirical support for the expansion and opening-up of China's productive service industries.
