A Study of the Impact of the Digital Economy on the Development of the Tourism Economy
The digital economy has changed the original form of economic development and provided new possibilities for the development of various industries.In order to measure the impact mechanism of digital economy on tourism economy,based on the panel data of 31 provincial administrative regions from 2011 to 2020,we verify the impact mechanism of digital economy on tourism economy and further explore the mediating effect of technological innovation.The empirical results show that:firstly,the digital economy has a significant promotion effect on the development of tourism economy;secondly,the mediation effect test finds that the digital economy can significantly promote the development of tourism economy by improving the level of technological innovation in each region;thirdly,the analysis of heterogeneity finds that the digital economy has a more significant impact on the tourism economy in the western region,which suggests that the digital economy can make up for the backwardness of the geographic location brought about by the differences and narrow the gap of tourism economic development.The digital economy plays a supplementary role in promoting the development of tourism economy.
