Empirical Research on the Upgrading Mechanism of the Manufacturing Value Chain by Digital Technology
Under the current new development pattern of"dual circulation",digital technology has become the core driving force for the upgrading of the manufacturing industry value chain.The development level of digital technology was quantitatively identified.Combined with provincial panel data,the driving role of digital technology development in the upgrading of the manufacturing industry value chain was empirically tested.The study found that the development of digital technology can promote the upgrading of the status of the manufacturing industry value chain and has a significant impact on technological innovation,consumer demand and transaction costs.In terms of the influencing mechanism,the development of digital technology mainly indirectly promotes the upgrading of the manufacturing industry value chain through the effects of technological innovation,consumer demand and changes in transaction costs.The research shows that vigorously developing,promoting and applying digital technology is conducive to promoting the upgrading of the manufacturing industry value chain.To this end,the government and enterprises should accelerate the integration of digital technology and traditional manufacturing industries,and actively build a new modern manufacturing ecosystem driven by innovation,driven by consumption and optimized by transaction costs.
