Study on the Impact of Digital Economy on the High-quality Development of Manufacturing Industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
Using a two-way fixed-effects model based on panel data from 11 regions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2022,the study empirically analyzes the contribution of the digital economy to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The finding demonstrates that the digital economy significantly boosts the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and technological innovation and human capital play a part of the mediating effect.Moreover,the researches demonstrate the regional heterogeneity of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,with a spatial distribution of"lower>upper>center".Therefore,the Yangtze River Economic Belt should develop the digital economy according to local conditions and strengthen technological innovation and human capital to improve the high-quality manufacturing development.
