Research on the Trade Potential of Chinese New Energy Vehicle Exports to Thailand
Thailand has,a strong foundation in the automotive industry,and supportive government policies.Understanding the potential for China's new energy vehicle(NEV)exports to Thailand is crucial for the development of the NEV industry.This study analyzes the trade potential of Chinese NEV exports to Thailand using panel data on NEV export trade values from China to the ten ASEAN countries from 2017 to 2022.By constructing a gravity model of trade,The empirical results show that the GDP of both countries,the RMB/USD exchange rate,and the trade openness of Thailand significantly promote the export of new energy vehicles from China to Thailand.China's export potential to Thailand has been fully utilized,and it needs to find new growth points,and relevant countermeasures are put forward and suggestions to consolidate and promote the export of China's new energy vehicles to Thailand.
