Lactic acid bacteria Weissella confusa(W.confusa)P2 was used as the starting strain, and the pure exopolysaccharides(EPS)was obtained from the fermentation solution through steps of debacterialization, deproteinization, ethanol precipitation and gel filtration chromatography.Using macrophages RAW264.7 as the model, cell counting kit-8,neutral red test and cytokine kit were used to explore the immunomodulatory activity of EPS in vitro. The results show that EPS can significantly promote the proliferation of macrophages, increase the phagocytosis ability of macrophages and the ability to release NO,and increase the contents of interleukin-1β(IL-1 β),interleukin-8(IL-8)and interleukin-10(IL-10),but can not increase the contents of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)and interleukin-6(IL-6)cytokines in macrophages RAW264.7 at the biomass level.W.confusa P2 EPS has a good ability of immune regulation. The results can provide a theoretical basis for the study of the structure-activity relationship of EPS and the development of immune products.
