Current Situation and Characteristics of Undergraduate Tutorial System in"Double First-Class"Universities
The development of"Double First-Class"universities is crucial to China's higher education,and the development of undergraduate education needs to be quality-oriented.The undergraduate tutorial system in universities is an important force in pro-moting the construction of first-class undergraduate education.The 87 documents on the management and implementation of under-graduate tutorial system in 33 representative"Double First-Class"universities were selected,and the characteristics and problems of the current management methods of undergraduate tutorial system were summarized by textual analysis.This study finds that the current situation of the undergraduate tutorial system is multifarious but homogeneous in fact,and the system needs to be improved in terms of scientificity,completeness and operability.This study reflects on the current situation of the undergraduate tutor system,and proposes suggestions for optimizing the system by clarifying the duties of tutors,improving tutor training and assessment,and highlighting students'rights and obligations.Universities should be wary of the implementation of the undergraduate tutor system being a mere for-mality due to the generalization of duties,the lack of clarification of the person responsible for student training,the vague content of tu-tor training and assessment,and the neglect of students'subjectivity.
