This paper briefly introduces the research progress of hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in hydrology,the fractionation processes of hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopes,and the exploration of hydraulic connections between water bodies under hydrogen and oxygen stable isotope tracing,providing a research foundation for the circulation process of stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in groundwater.
