This study aims to explore the integration of Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA)and ecological reserve zoning to achieve sustainable development goals.By comprehensively analyzing the theories and methods related to EIA and ecological reserve zoning,an integrated framework is proposed and validated through practical cases.Firstly,the concepts,principles,and roles of EIA and ecological reserve zoning in sustainable development are discussed.Secondly,the necessity and feasibility of integration are proposed in response to current issues.Then,based on specific cases,the integration of ecological reserve zoning considerations into the EIA process is explored to enhance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of EIA.Finally,the effects of the integration are evaluated,and future research directions are suggested.
