Effect of single point incremental forming process parameters on surface roughness of aluminum alloy conical table
Surface roughness is one of the key factors affecting the quality of incremental forming parts. In order to explore the influence of process parameters on the surface roughness of parts. In this study, single point incremental forming technology was used to form 5052 aluminum alloy sheet. The effects of process parameters such as axial feed, spindle speed and feed speed on the surface quality of conical table were studied, and the roughness Ra value of outer surface was measured by roughness meter. The experimental results show that reducing the axial feed can improve the surface quality of parts. The roughness Ra value of parts decreases first and then increases with the increase of spindle speed. The feed rate has little effect on the roughness Ra value, the roughness Ra value decreases first and then increases with the increase of feed rate.Due to the limitation of the part size, the'fish scale'and roughness Ra value of the inner surface are almost unchanged, when the feed speed exceeds 2 817 mm·min-1.
