Research on Fractal Characteristics of Road Network in Chongqing Central Urban Area Based on GIS
Based on GIS technology and the introduction of fractal theory,with the central urban area of Chongqing as the research area and the urban road network as the research object,the box coverage dimen-sion,length radius dimension,branch number radius dimension of the internal roads in the central urban area of Chongqing are calculated,and the fractal characteristics are summarized.The box coverage dimension,length radius dimension,and branch number radius dimension of the central urban area of Chongqing are 1.448,1.486 7,and 1.314 2,respectively.As a mountainous city,road construction in the central urban area of Chongqing is greatly affected by mountains and rivers,and there is still a certain gap between the road network and the maturity of fractal morphology,which has great development potential.
