Research and Application of a Monitoring System for Mining Truck Lifting and Traveling
In the unloading process of mining trucks in open-pit mines,there is a significant safety haz-ard,namely,the bucket has not fully descended while the vehicle has already started moving.This study aims to address this issue by proposing a monitoring system for mining trucks during bucket lifting and driv-ing.The system utilizes millimeter-wave radar ranging sensors to real-time measure the position of the buck-et,monitors vehicle speed through a connected 4G positioning terminal,and issues an alert when the bucket is not properly lowered after unloading.Experimental results demonstrate that this system effectively enhances the safety of the truck unloading process and reduces potential safety risks.This research emphasizes the im-portance of bucket position during unloading and provides an innovative solution for the mining transportation industry.
