Identification Techniques of Effective Reservoir for the Upper Member of Huagang Formation in the North-central of Xihu Depression
The north-central part of Xihu Depression is one of the important oil and gas exploration areas in the East China Sea Basin, and the low-permeability gas reservoir of the Huagang Formation is the main object. The reservoir not only has complex pore structure and heterogeneity characteristics, but also is severely polluted by drilling and completion process, which affects the accurate evaluation of reservoir gas content. This article analyzes physical properties and pore structure characteristics of the Huagang Formation through a large number of thin sections, scanning electron microscopy, and mercury intrusion data. And the pore structure of reservoir is classifies and evaluates.By combining logging data and testing results,a lower limit standard for evaluating the physical and electrical properties of early exploration well reservoirs has been established, which can achieve accurate evaluation of the gas potential of main research intervals. The research results are beneficial for the maximum production capacity release of gas reservoirs, achieving increased reserve of oil and gas exploration in the target area. And it has certain guiding significance for oil and gas exploration in the area.
