Study on Mechanical Properties of Cement Stabilized Waste Stone Chips
In order to study the feasibility of waste stone chips as roadbed filler or road subbase aggregate, different doses of cement were used to dispose it.The mechanical properties and influencing factors of cement stabilized waste stone chips were studied, and the correlation between unconfined compressive strength, initial tangent modulus and California bearing ratio was established. The results show that with the increase of cement dosage, the mechanical properties of cement stabilized waste stone chips increase linearly. When the cement dosage is 8%,the compressive strength of cement stabilized waste stone chips meets the strength requirements of highway engineering subbase. With the extension of curing age,the compressive strength of cement stabilized waste stone chips increases rapidly and then tends to be gentle. The unconfined compressive strength of cement stabilized waste stone chips has a good linear correlation with the initial tangent modulus and CBR,which can be used for the design and construction of road base or foundation.
